New Release Date.

It's been a while since I posted anything here. In truth it's been a challenging few months for me on both a personal and professional front.

As you will have probably gathered, the original release date for "The Unwilling Recruit" has passed and the novel is still not available.  Well for reasons too numerous and convoluted to go into a decision was made between my publisher and myself to push back the release into the new year.

So, now the new official release date for my novel will be May 2nd 2017 and I would like to take this opportunity to assure my supporters that this date will not change and to offer my sincerest apologies for the delay.

Thank you all for your continued support.

I Need You !!

Hello to everyone,

There have been some interesting developments regarding my second Novel "Fool In The Ring".  As you may be aware, I had planned to release the novel this month and, in truth, it is ready to release now.  However, I am putting back the official release date in order to try something a little different.

I submitted my manuscript to Amazon for their Kindle Scout Campaign programme and, surprise surprise it was accepted.  So, what does that mean?

Well Kindle Scout selects previously unpublished manuscripts and places them in front of the general public (i.e. YOU) for a period of thirty days.  During that time you have the opportunity to nominate manuscripts you believe are worthy of being published.  At the end of that thirty day period Amazon will then offer selected authors a publishing contract for their manuscript.

So, starting today, I launch my Kindle Scout campaign for "Fool In The Ring"  and I need your help.
I am not asking you to make any kind of purchase, all I am looking for is a little time investment on your part.  This is what I need:

  1. Visit my Campaign Page  -  Please take a look, as a little reward you will find the first 5000 words of my novel there as a taster (that's almost 4 whole chapters!!)
  2. Nominate - If you like what you see there then please nominate my book.  A large part of Amazons' decision will be based upon the number of nominations I can generate over the thirty day period.
  3. Share - Share - Share !! - Help me spread the word, please share this post through social media as far and as wide as you possibly can.  You can be sure I will be doing the same.

It goes without saying that I am going to be repeating this message a lot over the next thirty days, so I apologize in advance if I become a little repetitive.

I thank you all in advance for your time and support.

Teaser for Book 2 of "The Armageddon Wars"

Hello there.

Assuming everything goes to plan then I intend to release my second novel in "The Armageddon Wars" series at some point next month.  The book will be titled "Fool In The Ring"

With that in mind I thought a little snippet from the up-coming novel was in order.  So, here it is:

“So what do you think happened here?”  She asked.
“It has all the hallmarks of a mugging gone bad.”  Cunningham answered.
“Go on.”  Jane pressed.
“Well, “  Cunningham continued slowly, mentally creating a sequence in his head that would fit the evidence.  “Your man Hunt was wandering around here late at night and the boys saw an opportunity for an easy take down.  They jumped him, fought and one of them hit him with a rock.”
“Why do you say that?”  Jane asked.
“We recovered a blood soaked rock from the scene and there was a substantial pool of it on the grass.  Since neither of the victims showed any external signs of an injury that could have produced that level of blood loss, it’s a reasonable bet the blood belongs to Hunt.”
“Okay.  So what next?”
“That’s where it gets a bit tricky.”  Cunningham admitted.  “Cause of death for both victims is unclear.  We know that Griffiths died here, while Marshall made it to the river.  We’ve got a blood spatter trail leading to the waters’ edge as well so it’s a good bet that Hunt chased Marshall into the water.  Marshall got caught up in the trees further down, maybe Hunt didn’t.  I’d say it’s even money he washes up further down river.”
“You think he’s dead as well?”
“I wouldn’t be surprised.”  Cunningham admitted.

Jane was impressed.  In all but two particulars, she figured Cunningham had pieced together an accurate sequence of events.  He hadn’t mentioned a third assailant however.  From the footprints around the scene Jane felt sure there was a third man, or boy, one who survived and managed to get away.  The other fault in the Inspectors reasoning concerned Hunt himself.  Jane knew of his abilities and, therefore, knew the cause of death for the two unfortunate teenagers.  She didn’t believe for a minute that Hunt had simply died in the river and been washed downstream like some piece of errant flotsam.

I hope you all enjoyed that, please feel free to leave comments or questions.

For those of you who took advantage of the promotions that have been run over the course of this past month for the first book in the series - "An Unwilling Recruit", I sincerely hope you are enjoying it and, of course, I would be eternally grateful if you would take the time to leave a review on Amazon, even if it is only a few words.

Many thanks for your continued support and Happy reading.

"An Unwilling Recruit" - Available to Buy

My first fictional novel is now published and available to purchase.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Sean Connor, Kat Durber, Darren McAree and Annie Leadley for their invaluable help in creating the cover artwork.  Thanks also go to Jin Sandhu for their generosity in providing the Kilworx as a venue to work in.

Here is the final result :

It began with an explosion in the desert.  John Hunt, freelance reporter, and his camera-man partner, Andrew Johnson, should have both died that day.  Miraculously one of them survived.

Now, six months later, Hunt has left hospital with the intent of putting the remnants of his life back together.  Unfortunately that would not be as easy as he imagined.

A surprise visit from his dead partner convinces Hunt that his life has changed, he has changed and, more importantly, the world itself has changed.  With Andrew acting as his macabre guide, Hunt is drawn into a part of the world he never knew existed, a dark, hedonistic world, where nothing is ever quite what it seems.

PRICE :  $10.00 / £6.48
