"The Rochdale Pioneers" has its World Premier on 1st November in Manchester. However for those of you who cannot make this premier, do not despair. You will have your chance to view this wonderful period drama as Film4 will be showing it throughout the month of November as part of their "British Connection" season.
This is a wonderfully crafted story set in the early 1840's. It tells the tale of the men (and women) behind the creation of the first Co-operative shop in Rochdale. They were the founders of the entire Co-operative movement and theirs is a story well worth watching.
Returning from the Odeon Printworks in Manchester I have to admit to feeling both excited and humbled.
I have just watched the premier of a film I recently completed working on. A film adaptation of Shakespears' Henry IV - Part 1 .
This was a wonderful project to work on alongside The British Youth Film Academy . I had the distinct pleasure of working with some extremely talented and dedicated individuals and the results of all their efforts are truly stunning.
Well done to everyone involved in the making of this film. You are all a credit to yourselves and the British Film-making industry.
